Meetings are open to all USFFA members. Meetings will be on the first and third Wednesdays of the month from 3:30pm to 5:30pm. Please email VP of Communications Leigh Meredith for a zoom link/location information.

Policy Board Meetings
The USFFA Policy Board meetings follow Roberts Rules of Order to conduct business.

As defined in the USFFA bylaws, Article II, point E:

1) There shall be two regularly scheduled Policy Board meetings during each month of the academic year, unless the President, upon consultation with the Policy Board, decides to implement a different schedule. Meeting dates shall be selected for each semester no later than the first meeting of each semester. The Schedule for these meetings shall be distributed to the Policy Board and to the membership by the secretary.

2) Additional Policy Board meetings may be called, either by majority vote of the Policy Board or by a majority vote of the Executive Board. In the latter case, every effort shall be made to inform Policy Board members, and the Faculty Association membership of the meeting in a timely manner.

3) The Chair shall preside at each meeting. If the Chair is absent, the Vice President of the Faculty Association shall preside.

4) Policy Board meetings are open to all members of the Faculty Association. Non-Board members are free to seek recognition to speak at Board meetings. As a rule, the Chair shall refrain from recognizing non-Board members until all Board members desiring to speak to have been recognized, and shall limit non-Board members to one set of remarks on each issue before the Board. Any Board member may move to limit discussion of any item to Board members only; this shall be a privileged motion, non-debatable, requiring a simple majority for passage.

5) When discussing some matters requiring confidentiality, such as negotiating tactics, the Board may wish to form a committee of the whole and clear the room of non-members. This may be accomplished by a simple majority vote.

6) The Secretary shall record the minutes and after approval, shall distribute them to the membership and have them posted to the USFFA website

7) Fifty percent of the Policy Board members shall constitute a quorum at its meetings. No binding action may be taken in the absence of a quorum.
